Reddit Toolkit

The Reddit toolkit connects Arcade agents to Reddit via OAuth, enabling LLMs to read, post, and interact with Reddit content on behalf of authenticated users.

Capabilities

  • Identity & access checks — retrieve the authenticated user's username and verify whether a subreddit exists and is accessible (public, private, or restricted).
  • Post discovery & reading — fetch post listings from any subreddit (sorted by new, top, controversial, etc.) and retrieve the full content of one or many posts in a single call.
  • Subreddit metadata — read subreddit rules to inform compliant posting or content generation.
  • Content creation — submit new text posts to a subreddit and comment on existing posts.
  • Conversation participation — reply to existing comments and retrieve top-level comments from any post.
  • User history — list the authenticated user's own posts, sorted newest first.

OAuth

This toolkit uses OAuth 2.0 via Reddit. See the Arcade Reddit auth provider docs for setup details.
